Please have trash out to the curb by 7:00 a.m.
On each regularly scheduled collection day, Monday and Thursday Best Trash will collect residential refuse located at the curbside in your own personal trash cans that are between 30-50 gallons in size, or you may place trash out in trash bags not weighing over 40 pounds. Any trash must be placed at the street by the curb by 7am on the day of collection.

Please do not dispose of gasoline, motor oil, paints, cooking oil, or any other liquid items in a container that are not visible to Best Trash personnel. If such items result in spillage that causes a stain, Best Trash is not responsible for the cleanup. Best Trash will leave a tag explaining the reason for any non-collected item(s).
Trees, shrubs, brush trimmings and fencing must be no larger than 4” inches in diameter, no more than 4’ feet long, tied in bundles not exceeding 40 pounds. Tied bundles are required to allow quick pick up and size limitations are required to avoid damaging the equipment in the compacting process. The limit is up to 8 tied bundles per collection day. Grass clippings and leaves are picked up on both garbage collection days, the limit is 8 bags not exceeding 40 lbs. per day. Items such as appliances, furniture, mattresses, carpet (up to 1 room of carpet, cut less than 4 feet wide, tied in bundles not exceeding 40 pounds), will be picked up on both garbage collection days. The limit is 2 large items per collection day. By Federal Law, refrigerators, freezers, and any other items containing Freon must be drained of Freon and have an accompanying bill to validate such service was performed.
For more than normal amounts of residential refuse, yard trimmings or bulk items, Best Trash does have the ability to provide a special collection service. For pricing information, please email your district name, address, and several pictures of your items to customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.
If your regular trash collection day falls on a holiday (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day) the collection will be made on the next regularly scheduled collection day. There is no higher priority for EPA than protecting the health and safety of Americans. EPA is providing this important information about COVID-19 as it relates to drinking water and wastewater to provide clarity to the public. The COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking-water supplies. Based on current evidence, the risk to water supplies is low. Americans can continue to use and drink water from their tap as usual. For details, visit: https://www.epa.gov/coronavirus/coronavirus-and-drinking-water-and-wastewater
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking water. Conventional water treatment methods that use chlorine disinfection, such as those in municipal utility district’s drinking water systems, should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19. For more information, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/water.html

Kings Manor M.U.D. Residents:
With toilet paper in short supply due to the panic buying in response to COVID-19, some researchers warn there’s a risk that toilet paper alternatives such as wet wipes, napkins and thicker paper towels may lead to another major “monster” waste issue. Since supermarket shelves are wiped bare of toilet paper, and napkin aisles fast emptying as well, water infrastructure experts fear that the use of toilet paper alternatives such as wet wipes, napkins and thicker paper could lead to major blockages in our sewage systems.
The Kings Manor M.U.D. wastewater treatment plant operator has seen a recent massive surge in non-flushables entering the plant from Kings Manor customers. These products can create blockages of fat, sanitary items, and wet wipes that block pipes and pumps and cause an added expense to remove, including sewer back-ups at your home.
Please do your part to protect our sewer pipes – do not flush wipes, napkins, or paper towels; properly disposing of them by throwing them in the trash.
